The ABCMommy Story
The concept for the company was conceived in
2004 by a corporate executive who was on a lengthy bed rest having
her first baby. The company was officially launched in 2005 after
she made the decision not to return to her corporate Information
Technology job.
ABCMommy was started based on designs the
company President used to produce custom baby bibs and silk belts for
friends and family. While on maternity leave, friends urged her to
bring some of her unique designs to the market. The baby bib with
removable arms has been extremely popular and one of our best
sellers. This keepsake item covers a babies’ entire arms allowing
for a “cleaner” eating experience. We saw a need for this kind
of bib because trying to find a quality baby
bib in department stores was extremely frustrating. Most bibs lasted one
wash before looking worn out, and the throw away variety of bibs
were not environmentally friendly because they lasted one or two
uses. So ABCMommy created the ultimate baby bib that
is durable, standing up wash after wash and still looking like new.
The idea was to create a bib that could be used throughout the duration of
time that a child needed to wear a bib for eating. We achieved our
objective of creating an exceptionally high quality bib that really
lasts.
Another passion of
our company President were silk accessories, specifically scarves
and belts. So silk scarves
and belts were added to our inventory, designed for women who are interested
in high fashion accessories. We also wanted our silk scarves to be of
higher quality then the scarves created by the upper-end designers,
but also to be in a price range that was affordable for anyone. The silk we use is the finest

The name of our
company, ABCMommy, was selected to convey a
conscience message about the infusion of baby and mommy fashions to
keep both sides looking hip and cool. We didn’t want the company
name to be only baby oriented because our looks are just as much
about the mothers. In fact, the fashions are trendy enough to be for
anyone of any age.
